NI Teacher Statistics Released

The GTCNI has released it's 2nd Annual Digest of Statistics. The 2007 Digest contains information extracted from the Register of Teachers and including for the first time statistics relating to Principals and Vice-Principals.

At March 2007 there were 26,866 teachers registered with GTCNI - that is an increase of 715 teachers from March 2006.

The Digest provides a snapshot up to 31/03/06, however the teachers registered were likely to remain employed into 2007.
