I am leaving the profession/taking a sabbatical - do I need to register?

If you are leaving the profession or taking a break from teaching, please keep us informed, you only need to maintain your registration if you think you may work in a grant-aided school at some time during the current registration period. (April in one year to March next) However you could consider registering voluntarily in order to keep in touch with your professional body. Before returning to work you must contact the Registration Team, to reactivate your registration.
